About The Author

Susan Roberts grew up in Massachusetts, one of four children. She thanks God for the strong Christian influence in her home. She attended Wheaton College in Illinois, where she received a BA in English and secondary education, and later an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies including Christian Education and Communication. Sue met her husband, Perry, at Wheaton, they were married on Front Campus, and headed out after graduation to a life in the military.

As a military wife, Sue was active in the Chapel programs as a board member of PWOC. (Protestant Women of the Chapel). She had numerous speaking engagements with the chapel, PWOC and Christian Women’s Club. She was a Bible Study leader and taught both adult and children’s classes. As a Mom of three children, she was also active in PTA, school activities and their soccer teams. She loved to explore interesting places at each duty station and planned frequent outings. Her local friends who accompanied her, were amazed to see things they didn’t know existed, even after growing up in that area.

When Perry retired from the military, they moved to Colorado. Sue recently retired after twenty years with the Jefferson County School district as a school secretary. Sue has continued her love of travel, researching and planning trips. She and Perry have now visited all fifty states and would like to visit all the National Parks. Wildlife sightings are one of her favorite things; she especially likes spotting bears and watching foxes in her backyard. She loves cooking and gardening, and continues with soccer as an enthusiastic fan of her kids and grandkids.

In January 2017, Sue published a book of 180 devotions that includes casual color photos, a short story, an application and a scripture. She continues to write bi-weekly devotions based on “God sightings” for the Arvada Covenant Church prayer line. She has been amazed at how God shows up and “directs” these devotions, speaking to people and meeting needs through the words. She is currently working on a book about hearing God that will be published in early 2019. Keep watching the website for info and teasers.
