Waiting Again?
Another month? You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve already waited more than a month to meet with my publisher and my scheduled time was postponed…for a whole month. Waiting is hard and my impatience is getting the best of me.
But then, I came to God in prayer. He let me know that He is in control of the waiting. He is orchestrating events and His timing is perfect. Who knows what benefit could come of this? Perhaps the publishing team will feel a bit guilty and do their best work to compensate. Perhaps some unknown endorsers will materialize. Perhaps something else needs to fall into place before the book can be at its best. Or, maybe God is just trying to teach me a lesson. “Wait. Be at peace. Don’t let circumstances control you. You are above circumstances because you fully trust in Me, and I know what I am doing. I won’t let you down.”
So, when we are faced with disappointments, when life throws us curve balls, when things don’t happen as we’ve planned, we have a choice. We can rant and rave and become irritated or depressed; or we can praise the God who is perfectly in control, thanking Him for what He is doing behind the scenes.
