Is He Safe?

The children in the Chronicles of Narnia are about to meet Aslan, the lion. We some trepidation, Susan asks Mr. Beaver, "Is he quite safe?" Mr. Beaver says, "Of course he isn't safe, but he's good." Jesse Slimak wrote in his devotion in The Covenant Home Altar that God is not safe in the way we want, but is faithful in the way we need. Trusting God is an adventure.
